Journal Overview

ADES operates under the gold open-access model, meaning all published content is freely accessible worldwide immediately upon publication at no cost to readers. Authors whose work is accepted pay an Article Publication Charge (APC). Waivers and discounts are available to authors from low- and lower-middle-income countries and to those who can demonstrate a genuine financial hardship.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous, double-anonymised peer review process managed by the journal's internationally constituted editorial board. ADES adheres fully to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing jointly issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). The journal follows COPE's Core Practices in all matters of editorial conduct and research integrity.

ADES believes that knowledge generated through agricultural and environmental research belongs to the world. Our commitment is to make that knowledge accessible, credible, and useful — for scientists in leading research institutions and for practitioners working in remote fields alike.
